Just Film Distribution and 2CFILM announced the full cast of the new Dutch cinema film Whitestar today, which will be shown in Dutch cinemas from October 9. It was previously announced that the 26-year-old presenter and horse lover Britt Dekker will make her film debut together with her horse George * in this heartwarming family film. Besides Britt Dekker, the cast consists of Richelle Plantinga (Flikken Rotterdam, GIPS), Florence Vos Weeda (Ventoux, Renesse), Sterre van Woudenberg (Bridge class), Valentijn Ave (100% Coco, Fissa) and the Australian top model and horse rider Matt Harnacke. Kees Boot, Tina de Bruijn, Bart Klever, Pim Wessels, Sterre Koning, Loek Peters, Tim Douwsma, Victoria Koblenko and Daniël Boissevain can also be seen in Whitestar.
The screenplay was written by Michiel Peereboom, based on an idea by Britt Dekker, who is also closely involved in the production of the film. The direction is in the hands of Jamel Aattache (Heavy Fall!). The film is produced by 2CFILM, known for the films Hartenstraat and De Film by Dylan Haegens. Distribution is provided by Just Film Distribution.
About Whitestar
Whitestar is a feel-good family film about the special relationship between Megan (Britt Dekker) and the discarded show jumper Whitestar. When it turns out that Whitestar has special talents, the owner takes him away from Megan to compete, but without success. Only when Megan and Whitestar are together again, they bring out the best in each other and Whitestar turns out to be a real winner.
